Good Project ($2.90) has returned to racing in exceptional form this time and remains clear favourite in 2015 Sandown Stakes betting markets at Ladbrokes.com.au ahead of Charmed Harmony ($6) and clear market mover Mr Utopia ($8.50).

Will Good Project justify favouritism and win the 2015 Sandown Stakes or will one of his talented rivals find the line in the clear?

1st

Good Project ($2.90)

While probably requiring some luck in running from barrier 13, Good Project carries exceptional form into the 2015 Sandown Stakes and is sure to be boosted by the confirmation James McDonald will take the ride. Returning this time for success in a Rosehill Gardens minor over 1200m on September 12th, the Not A Single Doubt entire continued to impress through a number of Saturday races; peaking with a strong win in the Bartier Perry Lawyers BM92 (1600m) before placing a close second in the Lavazza Short Black (1400m) at Flemington on Melbourne Cup Day.

2nd

Ninth Legion ($15)

Ninth Legion was unable to produce in his most recent effort but can probably be forgiven for the run, and offers excellent value for money at current $15 Sandown Stakes odds for success or $4.40 to finish in the first three. Storming home for third in the Group 2 Theo Mark Stakes (1300m) first-up on September 12th, Ninth Legion ran sixth in the Group 2 Shannon Stakes (1500m) before another impressive effort for fourth in the Group 1 Toorak Handicap (1600m) on October 10th. Having placed sixth in the Listed Sale Cup (1600m) before his luckless run in the Group 3 Guvera Stakes (1400m) last time out, the Fastnet Rock gelding is positioned well in barrier 3 and has been confirmed to be partnered by Dwayne Dunn.

3rd

Star Rolling ($26)

Star Rolling will mark his racing return in the 2015 Sandown Stakes and while there isn’t really much to suggest how he will place, undoubtedly holds the class for a big performance and is worth consideration at current odds. A strong and consistent performer for Peter Morgan and Craig Widdison through 2014, the Casino Prince gelding won the Group 2 PB Lawrence Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield most notably, and should be suited to the conditions of Sandown first-up this weekend.
